Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level DevOps Engineer with strong cloud-native experience to help build, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD automation, and enjoys working closely with development teams to improve reliability, scalability, and delivery velocity.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Operations
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Support cloud-native application deployments using containerized and microservices-based architectures.
- Assist in managing Kubernetes clusters and container platforms across development, staging, and production environments.
- Implement high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
CI/CD & Automation
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate application deployment, testing, and infrastructure provisioning processes.
- Collaborate with developers to improve release management and deployment efficiency.
- Promote DevOps best practices across software delivery workflows.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Standardize infrastructure provisioning and environment configuration across projects.
- Support environment lifecycle management and infrastructure scalability initiatives.
Monitoring, Reliability & Performance
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, Datadog, or similar platforms.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Assist in performance tuning, capacity planning, and cloud cost optimization efforts.
- Support service reliability and uptime objectives.
Security & DevSecOps
- Implement security best practices including secrets management, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
- Integrate security scanning and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to maintain secure cloud environments.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Architects, and Product teams to support application delivery.
- Participate in infrastructure reviews, incident post-mortems, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve platform reliability, automation, and developer experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across DevOps and cloud operations.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with infrastructure audits, cloud usage reporting, and operational reviews.
- Participate in on-call rotations when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, or equivalent.
- Scripting experience using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, networking, and secrets management.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bonus / Nice to Have
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Experience with serverless platforms such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation.
- Experience supporting microservices-based architectures.
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect Associate
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate
